Daniel Chen's parents opened the family restaurant in Orange in March 2003. Today, Daniel runs Chen's Chinese Kitchen, continuing a family restaurant tradition that stretches back 80 years. The goal is simple: good food at an affordable price, cooked fresh to order.

Over the years, we've gotten to know the people who come through our doors. We've watched children grow up at our tables and return with children of their own. Some stop in when they're home from college. Others have moved away but still make the drive back for a favorite meal and a chance to catch up.

Word of mouth brings in plenty of new faces, too. A neighbor recommends us or a friend brings someone along, and before long we're greeting another regular by name. Seeing three or four generations sit down together is one of the best parts of running this place.
